Day 3

The day started the same as the previous days. First some coffee and after that breakfast. After breakfast we worked off the list of things that had to be done in the brasserie. After that we had a little break.

We went to clean a few things. When that was finished I had to check one of the safari tents before the guests would come. There were some things missing in the kitchen so I went back to get those. After that I had to put three folders together so it is easy for the guests to take them with them. When that was done I could relax a bit since there weren't any people in the brasserie. Things for in the freezer of the brasserie had arrived, which meant that they had to be put in the freezer very fast. When everything was in the freezers all the boxes in which everything came had to be broken to be thrown away. Then I was again in the brasserie, which also meant that if someone entered the reception (which is attached to the brasserie) I had to help them. I was there for the rest of the time I had to work.

Here in Luxembourg there are a lot of languages spoken. When you are somewhere in a city most signs and boards are in french, some in german. However, the newspaper is written in german and the luxembourgers themselves speak luxemburgish with eachother. They even understand dutch and try to speak in dutch to you if they find  out that you are from the Netherlands. With already so much languages in their own country I didn't expect them to speak dutch. Mostly the dutch they know is good enough to make themselves understandable. It's very nice of them that they adapt themselves to you, because it's more logical to do it the other way around when someone is visiting a country.
